Petrolia Squires History in Brief
1969 - Petrolia Tecumseh Chiefs was formed as an Intermediate Hockey Team . Played in a Tri-County Intermediate League against teams from Forest, Strathroy, Wallaceburg, Watford and Mooretown,
1970-71 - Played in the Ontario Rural Hockey Association Intermediate "A" playoffs and won the title over Mooretown
1971 - 1976 - Intermediate "C" Class - 1975 won Ontario Championship title defeating Port Elgin in seven games.
1976 - 77 - Continental Senior "A" Hockey League coached by Ron Carroll. This was 2nd year to win League.
1978 - 79 - OMH Senior "A" Hockey League, won Continental League Title and the Hugh McLean Trophy. Won Bolton Cup and finished season winning the Allan Cup Coached by Ron Carroll
1979 - 80 - Coached by Ron Carroll and Norm Foster
1980 - 81 - Coached by Steve Degurse/Len Fontaine/Ira Downer . Won the League and the Allan Cup ( second time in 3 years)
1986 - Played in OHA Senior "B" Hockey League - Seaway Division
1989 - 1990 - Petrolia Victorians
1993 - 1995 - Southwestern Ontario Sr "A" Hockey League
1995 - 1998 - Petrolia Chippewa Squires
1998 - 2000 - Petrolia McGregor Chrysler Squires won OHA"AAA" Championship defeating the Halibury Minors (Renwick Cup)Lost Bolton Cup final to London
2000 - 2001 - Petrolia Chippewa Squires were Bolton Cup Champs. Petrolia hosted the Allan Cup at the Sarnia Arena and ended up as semifinalists
2001 -2008 - OHA Senior "AAA" League
2008 - Present - Western Ontario Athletic Association
2015 -2016 - Part of the Kraft Hockeyville Season
2017 -2018 - WOAA Senior "A" Champions
2019 - 2020 - 5o YEAR ANNIVERSARY SEASON
